Commissioner Hilbert Elected to Leadership for Front Range Colorado Counties

Douglas County Commissioner Jack Hilbert has been elected by his peers as President of Colorado Counties, Inc. (CCI) Front Range District for 2009.

In this capacity, Commissioner Hilbert will lead the ten Front Range counties – Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, City & County of Broomfield, City & County of Denver, Douglas, El Paso, Jefferson, Larimer, and Weld – in policy discussions leading to solutions on issues important to Front Range counties including: transportation, human services, public safety, and sustainability.

“I am honored to represent Front Range counties in this role while ensuring that Douglas County has representation during these important debates on critical policy issues,” said Hilbert.

Through its five different regional districts, CCI promotes regional conversations on important regional issues. Districts are led by a president and vice president who are elected by their peers and serve a one-year term. Elected presidents and vice presidents exude sound leadership and consensus building skills.

CCI is a statewide organization of county commissioners. Through this association CCI assists commissioners in delivering cost-effective and efficient services to their constituents, fosters collaborative partnerships with citizens and all levels of government and enhances knowledge of public policy issues through membership education.
