Property Tax Payments
County offers Five Methods to Pay Property Taxes
The Douglas County Treasurer’s Office mailed out property tax statements this January that can be paid in person; by mail, drop box, or telephone; or online. Taxpayers have the option to pay taxes in one full installment by April 30 or in two installments with the first half due by the last day of February and the second half due by June 15.
Property owners or their designated agents can make payments in the following ways:
1. Pay in person at the Douglas County Treasurer’s Office at 100 Third St. in Castle Rock;
2. Pay by mail using the address located on the payment stub. Colorado Statute requires the Treasurer’s Office to return late payments for interest, so please mail early to avoid delay, inconvenience and interest;
3. Pay by drop box at any of these locations:
- Douglas County Philip S. Miller Bldg., 100 Third St. in Castle Rock – Drop box is located in the front of the building on the west side;
- Highlands Ranch Motor Vehicle Office, 2223 Wildcat Reserve Pkwy, G-1 – Drop box is located inside the Motor Vehicle Office and is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.;
- Parker Motor Vehicle Office, 16522 Keystone Blvd., Suite F – Drop box is located inside the Motor Vehicle office and is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.;
4. Pay by telephone – call 1.800.607.4481 and record the confirmation number as proof of payment; or
5. Pay online at www.douglas.co.us/treasurer/Property_Tax_Payment_Options.html and print a copy of the payment confirmation page.
