Residents Needed for County Child Welfare Panel
The Douglas County Commissioners invite citizen leaders to serve on a state mandated panel responsible for the resolution of grievances concerning Douglas County Department of Human Services personnel management of child welfare issues, should grievances occur.
Five citizens will be appointed to the Douglas County Human Services Citizen Review Panel – one from each commissioner district and two at-large members – for a three-year term. Applicants must: represent the community; be able to demonstrate personal or professional knowledge and experience with children; not be employees or agents of the State or any County Department of Human Services; and at least one member must be a parent of a minor child at the time the appointment is made. The Review Panel will meet on an as-needed basis.
