County Consolidates Bids for Improved Business Access

Douglas County businesses can now access Douglas County’s purchasing solicitations on the Web via Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System, an online service into which County will post bids, quotes, proposals, addendums and awards, all in one centralized location.

“It is our hope that our business community will take full advantage of this new convenient and mutually beneficial service,” said Board Chair, Douglas County Commissioners, Jack Hilbert. “Our objective is to not only open more opportunities for local businesses, but to generate more competitive submittals from more vendors,” he said.

“We want to have an even more transparent process for the business community interested in our bidding opportunities,” stated County Commissioner Steve Boand. “Douglas County’s presence on this new system should build more awareness for Douglas County’s purchasing solicitations.”

Interested vendors may reach the site by going to www.douglas.co.us/finance/Purchasing_Division.html and click on the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing icon or go to www.rockymountainbidsystem.com.

Vendor registration is free. A small annual fee will enable vendors to receive an automatic email notification each time a Douglas County business opportunity is added to the site or when there is a change or addendum to bids, quotes and proposals.
