CDBG Meetings February
Provide Input on Areas Impacted by Foreclosures
Community-based, non-profit service organizations focused on affordable housing are encouraged to attend one of three meetings to provide input on how Federal funds could be used to address neighborhood conditions associated with foreclosed properties.
Douglas County will host meetings in:
- Highlands Ranch: Feb. 17 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Recreation Center at Southridge, 4800 McArthur Ranch Rd.;
- Parker: Feb. 18 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Parker Town Hall, 20120 E. Mainstreet;
- Castle Rock: Feb. 26 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Douglas County Philip S. Miller Bldg., 100 Third St.
The County has the potential to receive up to $3.6 million in Neighborhood Stabilization Program Funds from the Colorado Division of Housing as part of the stimulus package enacted by Congress in July 2008, better known as the Housing and Economic Recovery Act. These funds cannot be used by individual homeowners to assist with foreclosure issues, rather the funds are designated for addressing neighborhood issues associated with foreclosed properties.
