Changes to Chatfield Valley Subarea to be Heard at Open House

Douglas County invites the public to an open house on Thursday, March 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Roxborough Intermediate School, 7370 Village Circle East, to discuss proposed changes to the Chatfield Valley Non-urban Subarea (CVNS) of the 2030 Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP). A presentation outlining the proposed changes will be given at 6:30 p.m.

The County received a request from a landowner within the CVNS to consider amending the CMP to support the continuation of the existing semi-rural development pattern in the area north of Titan Road, west of Rampart Range Road and south of the Chatfield State Park.

After receiving public input at the open house, County staff will make any appropriate changes to the proposed policy revisions and redistribute a Draft CMP amendment for public/referral agency review. After the referral period, staff will review all comments, make additional changes as needed and then present the CMP amendment to the Planning Commission for its consideration. Throughout the process, work sessions with the Planning Commission as well as additional public meetings will be held as necessary.
