Human Services Program Info Accessible Online

Information about programs and services provided by the Douglas County Department of Human Services is available online via a more user-friendly Web site, focused on the publics’ most frequently asked questions.

The Department of Human Services provides child and adult protection, and assistance with basic living needs. The mission of the Department is to deliver quality Human Services to our community by strengthening individuals, preserving families and protecting vulnerable adults and children.

Topics with icons have been created for the most frequently utilized Human Services categories including: financial, food, medical and child care assistance; veteran services; senior services; the Neighbor Network program; frequently asked questions; and contact information.

“During these challenging economic times, we’ve received an influx of clients in need of assistance,” said Deputy Human Services Department Director Sharon Svendsen. “We knew it was important to redesign the Web site to better accommodate the most pressing needs of our community.”

Anyone without Internet access can visit a Douglas County library branch for use of a computer or can visit the Human Services Department at 4400 Castleton Ct. in Castle Rock.
