Assessor Launches Online Video Series

Property owners’ and real estate professionals’ most frequently asked questions are now answered in a series of videos called “Quick Clips,” available from the Douglas County Assessor on the Douglas County Web site.

Subjects such as property taxes for homeowners; buying a home; property taxes for business and industry; exploring the Assessor Web site; property tax exemptions for seniors and disabled veterans; and protesting the valuation of a home can be found at www.douglas.co.us/assessor/QuickClips.html.

“It is our intention that these short videos will provide valuable information on the vast services provided by the Assessors Office, as well as answer questions on these specific topics,” said Douglas County Assessor Teri Cox. “These videos are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week allowing property owners and real estate professionals to access information during non-business hours when it may be more convenient.”

Additional online resources include: property searches, neighborhood sales analysis, free downloadable forms and data, QuickReports, which is a tool to create custom reports and MapIt, which allows users to map out parcels. These tools are all available at www.douglas.co.us/assessor.
