Land Use E-mail Notification Service Now Available

April 16th, 2009

Requests for easier access to information about Douglas County residential and commercial land use projects, as well as proposed zoning and land use amendments, led Douglas County to respond with the launch of a new Web page designed with an email subscription notification.

The new Web page and email notification service will allow subscribers to receive information as it is posted to the County’s Web site.

The subscriber may chose to receive updates regarding projects and proposals located in four quadrants of the County – northwest, northeast, southwest and southeast. This allows subscribers to quickly access project information that is in proximity to them, or may choose to receive updates on any or all of the four quadrants.  Project information includes: the planner and engineer assigned to that project (if the project requires both), the submittal date, project number, project type, project name, other information, subdivision and contact information.

To subscribe to this new service, please visit www.douglas.co.us/community/planning/Planning_Projects.html and click on one or all four quadrants of the County map that will lead to a subscriptionlink.  Subscribers to other e-mail notifications via this service may add the quadrant notification subscription to their list.  For detailed information on the progress of any projects, please visit the What’s New/Hot Topics page at www.douglas.co.us/community/planning/Whats_New_-_Hot_Topics.html.
