Input needed on $757,800 Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant

Public input will help guide Douglas County’s prioritization of a $757,800 Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant – the County’s allocation of U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) funds to be used as seed money for activities in the County that will reduce energy use and fossil fuel emissions, and improve energy efficiency.

Douglas County has established a blog to solicit and receive online input   http://blogs.douglas.co.us/eecbg and will host a public open house on Thursday, May 7, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., on the first floor of the Douglas County Government Administration Building, 100 Third Street, Castle Rock, in Conf. Room A and B. Parking is free.  Presentations will also be made throughout the County during the month of May. Please visit http://blogs.douglas.co.us/eecbg for announcements of presentations that will be open to the public.

Input will be solicited that will frame the prioritization of funds in four specific program areas: Pilot Projects, Public Education and Outreach, Rebate and Incentive Programs, and Studies and Analyses.
