New Web site helps plan Staycation in Douglas County

May 28th, 2009

A Staycation – it’s the buzz word of the summer. The Urban Dictionary calls it “a vacation spent close to home” and now Douglas County has developed a Web site for those whose summer get-a-ways demand diversity, yet require a journey closer to home.

The new Web site, www.douglas.co.us/dcoutdoors showcases horseback riding, fishing, and cycling opportunities as well as popular dog off-leash parks.  Videos, maps and more provide all the details for planning a perfect family get-a-way, close to home.

Discovering 46,000 acres of open space, 650 acres of regional parks and 130 acres of local parks in Douglas County is only a click away.  Please visit www.douglas.co.us/dcoutdoors for information.
