Effective immediately, all Douglas County Motor Vehicle offices will begin accepting credit cards in an effort to make payment more convenient. The county will continue to accept cash and personal checks.

In partnership with the Colorado Department of Revenue and the Statewide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA), the Douglas County Motor Vehicle offices will offer the option of paying by credit card for all over the counter services and online vehicle renewals.

In addition to the payment amount, each transaction will be subject to an administrative fee of 2.7% that covers the cost associated with providing this service. This fee is paid to a third party that provides these services for Colorado.gov and thus is not revenue for the State or County
