County Human Services Information Available Online
Information about programs and services provided by the Douglas County Department of Human Services is available online. The user-friendly Web site is designed based on the publics’ most frequently asked questions.
Topics with icons have been created for the most frequently utilized Human Services categories including: financial, food, medical and child care assistance; veteran services; senior services; the Neighbor Network program; frequently asked questions; and contact information.
“During these challenging economic times, we’ve received an influx of clients in need of assistance,” said Human Services Department Director Barbara Drake. “Information on the Web site addresses the most pressing needs of those in the community in need of support.”
The County’s Department of Human Services provides child and adult protection, and assistance with basic living needs. The mission of the Department is: to preserve and strengthen families, assure safety and promote independence and self-sufficiency.
Those without Internet access can visit a branch of the Douglas County library for use of a computer or can visit the County Human Services Department at 4400 Castleton Ct. in Castle Rock.
