Douglas County Commissioners will appoint three County residents to act as alternates for the Board of Adjustment.  One alternate will be appointed from each of the three commissioner districts.

The Board of Adjustment hears requests to deviate from zoning regulations, interprets zoning maps, and resolves property and district boundary disputes.   Alternates take the place of a regular member of the Board of Adjustment in the event a regular member is temporarily unavailable.

The term of the appointment will be for three years.
