Residents are saving an average of 24 percent in-store and up to 50 percent on mail orders of prescription drugs using the free prescription drug discount card, offered by Douglas County and sponsored through the National Association of Counties (NACo). Pet medication discounts are also available at certain pharmacies.

Cardholders and their family members may use the card any time their prescriptions are not covered by insurance. The cards are available to all County residents, regardless of age, income, or existing health coverage and can be used at 41 participating pharmacy locations in Douglas County.  There is no enrollment form, no membership fee and there are no restrictions or limits on frequency of use.

Visit www.caremark.com/naco 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to print a personalized ID. For more information about the program, visit http://www.douglas.co.us/humanservices/discountcard/index.html
