Housing Partnership offers Free Reverse Mortgage Counseling
Free counseling is available for homeowners aged 62 and older who are interested in learning more about the financial tool known as the Reverse Mortgage.
“Some seniors who own their homes are having financial difficulties in this challenging economy,” said Bonnie G. Osborn, Executive Director of the Douglas County Housing Partnership. “A Reverse Mortgage may be a solution, however we want to ensure that anyone considering this tool is well-informed,” she continued. “With the information this new service provides, Douglas County homeowner-seniors will be supported with information that will help them make an informed decision regarding a financial tool that may allow them to remain in their homes.”
The Douglas County Housing Partnership, a HUD-certified counseling agency, invites interested homeowners to call for an appointment: 303-784-7856 or go to www.douglascountyhousingpartnership.org for more information.
The Douglas County Housing Partnership (DCHP), a Multi-Jurisdictional Housing Authority, was formed as a cooperative effort between businesses and local and county governments to address the issue of the lack of affordable housing for people who work in the area. The DCHP operates with financial support from the jurisdictions of the City of Lone Tree, the Town of Castle Rock, the Town of Parker and Douglas County as a political subdivision and public corporation of the State of Colorado.
