The Douglas County Office of Veterans Affairs would like to assemble a list of Douglas County Veterans willing to go into the classroom and share stories of their service to our Country. 

Students will experience the historical perspective Veterans will bring into the classroom – through the stories told and the memorabilia shared. The Office of Veterans Affairs staff provides services and assistance to military veterans and their dependents.  This ongoing federal program is the operational responsibility of the County’s Human Services Department so that eligibility determination for veterans and social programs are coordinated functions.  This general fund program is managed by community volunteers whose operating expenses are reimbursed through the State of Colorado.
