County Clerk Seeks Public Input on Services and Funding

February 11th, 2010

Seeking public input on the distribution of tax dollars for services provided by the Office of the Clerk and Recorder, Douglas County Clerk and Recorder Jack Arrowsmith has scheduled a series of community meetings in which he hopes to engage County residents in dialogue on everything from the hours of operation of motor vehicle offices to passport and eRecording services, drivers license services and the permanent mail-in ballot option.

“Ultimately it is my hope, through the discussion of services provided by the Clerk and Recorder’s office, to further public understanding of how and where the taxpayer’s dollars are distributed,” said Arrowsmith.

The series of three meetings are scheduled from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree and Parker locations:

  • Thursday,  March 18, 2010  – Douglas County Event Center, Castle Rock
  • Thursday,  April 15, 2010 – Highlands Ranch Southridge Recreation Center, Highlands Ranch
  • Wednesday, April 28 at Lone Tree Civic Center, Lone Tree
  • Wednesday,  May 19, 2010 – Parker Fieldhouse, Parker

The article above says the series of three meetings and then lists 4 meeting times.

Are all the meetings the same?

The purpose of the meeting is identical and what the Clerk and Recorder will share will be similar, but the dialogue will probably vary depending on the location of the meeting and the concerns/issues of those in attendance.
