Register by July 12 to vote in August 10 Primary Election
Primary Election voting will be by mail ballot only.
Planning to vote in the August 10 primary election? Please make note of the following important deadlines and facts:
- Voter registrations must be received by the Douglas County Elections Division by Monday July 12.
- To vote in the primary election, registered voters must be affiliated with the Democratic, Libertarian or Republican Party. An unaffiliated voter may affiliate at any time up to and including Election Day.
- Primary election is by mail ballot only. Polling sites are not available.
Registering to vote, affiliating with a party, and obtaining a vote by mail application is as easy as visiting www.DouglasVotes.com.
At this one-stop, online service, a Douglas County resident may: check voter registration status, register to vote, affiliate with a party and apply for a vote-by-mail application:
- To check registration status click on the Am I Registered to Vote link.
- To request a mail ballot to vote by mail, click on the GoVoteColorado.com link.
- To register to vote, click on the GoVoteColorado.com link, register to vote and simultaneously apply to vote-by- mail.
Voter registration applications and vote-by-mail applications are also available online at the Clerk and Recorder’s Office at 301 Wilcox St. in Castle Rock and at the Motor Vehicle offices in Parker at 16522 Keystone Blvd. and Highlands Ranch at 2223 W.
