Public Invited to I-25 Meeting
The public is invited to a Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) open house next week regarding the upcoming cable rail project along Interstate 25, between Plum Creek Parkway and Tomah Road. It will be held on Wednesday, July 7, at the Larkspur Fire Protection District Office, 9414 South Spruce Mountain Road, in Larkspur, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The meeting is an opportunity to learn more about this safety project, which will protect errant vehicles that drive off the interstate from overturning and/or hitting other object(s) or crossing over the shoulder area and hitting vehicles traveling on the frontage road. It also will prevent illegal and unsafe shoulder crossings that typically occur during congestion on I-25.
Maintaining access for emergency providers also will discussed, including what steps CDOT is undertaking to ensure a continuance of minimum response times from police, fire and ambulance services.
CDOT representatives will be available for questions and comments. A display also will be set-up for viewing.
Reasonable accommodations will be provided for persons with disabilities or language barriers. Please contact CDOT’s Oueda Marshall at (303) 365-7303 or e-mail oueda.marshall@dot.state.co.us
