Diane Holbert - Treasurer

Diane Holbert is serving her first term as Douglas County Treasurer.  Diane holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Colorado at Denver. Team leadership was the focus of her twenty-four year career in the real estate finance industry.  As a District and Regional Underwriting manager, Diane was responsible for approximately $4 Billion of conservative lending decisions.

The primary function of the County Treasurer’s Office is the collection and distribution of property taxes in compliance with Colorado Statutes.  “It is an honor to serve the citizens of Douglas County.  Efficiency and transparency will be the standard.  We will reduce the cost of collection while maintaining excellence in service,” Holbert said.

The Treasurer serves as the banker and investment officer for all County funds.  Diane shared, “The foremost responsibility of the Treasurer is to keep County funds safe.  Citizens can be assured of integrity and fiscal accountability in the management of the County assets.”

Diane is an active member of the Colorado County Treasurer’s Association (CCTA) and looks forward to serving within the body of that organization.

Diane and her family have resided in Douglas County since 2003. “Douglas County is where my husband and I intend to spend the whole of our days. It is a spectacularly beautiful county in which our children can partake of excellent education, recreational activities and embark on their own careers,” Holbert said.

Diane enjoys spending time with her family, reading, Bible-study. and enjoying the Colorado outdoors.
