Legal Description: LOT 6, BLOCK 2, THE PINERY FILING NO. 3D, COUNTY OF DOUGLAS, STATE OF COLORADO Date of Foreclosure Sale: 11-2-2011

Excess proceeds in an amount exceeding $500 were realized from the above-referenced public trustee foreclosure sale. No claim has been made and established by any person entitled to the funds, and at least sixty calendar days from the expiration of all redemption periods as provided by C.R.S. § 38-38-302, have lapsed. Those excess proceeds have been transferred by the public trustee to the county treasurer to be held in escrow for five years from the date of sale. 

 Pursuant to C.R.S. § 38-38-111 notice is hereby given that unless the above-mentioned moneys are claimed by the record owner as of the recording of the notice of election and demand or lis pendens or other person entitled thereto within five years from the date of sale, the moneys shall become the property of the county, and the county treasurer and public trustee shall be discharged from any further liability or responsibility for the moneys.

Protest Deadlines – Assessor

Colorado law requires the county assessor to hear objections to real property valuations annually. Objections to real property valuations for 2010 will begin May 1, 2010 and end June 1, 2010.  Written objections must be postmarked no later than Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Real property valuation objections presented by fax, or on-line will be accepted through 12 a.m. (midnight) June 1. Objections to personal property valuations will be heard beginning June 15, 2010. Objections to personal property valuations for 2010 must be delivered or postmarked no later than June 30, 2010. Personal Property valuation objections may be presented in person until 5:00 p.m. July 5. The assessor’s office in the Wilcox Building at 301 Wilcox Street in Castle Rock will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday to hear objections to valuations for the 2010 assessment of real and personal property.

PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF CONTRACTORS SETTLEMENT COUNTY OF DOUGLAS STATE OF COLORADO

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 38-26-107, C.R.S., as amended, that on the 28th day of February 2011, final settlement will be made by the County of Douglas, State of Colorado, for and on account of a contract between Douglas County and Mark Young Construction Incorporated, for the Douglas County Highlands Ranch Sheriff Substation Project located in Highlands Ranch; and that any person, co-partnership, association or corporation that has an unpaid claim against said Mark Young Construction Incorporated for or on account of the furnishing of labor, materials, team hire, sustenance, provisions, provider or other supplies used or consumed by such contractor or any of their subcontractors in or about the performance of said work, or that supplied rental machinery, tools, or equipment to the extent used in the prosecution of said work, may at any time up to and including said time of such final settlement on said 28th day of February 2011, file a verified statement of the amount due and unpaid on account of such claim with the Board of County Commissioners, c/o Facilities Director, 3026 North Industrial Way, Castle Rock, Colorado 80109.

Failure on the part of claimant to file such statement prior to such final settlement will relieve said County of Douglas from all and any liability for such claimant’s claim.
